Pay Small Small is Hubtel's buy now, pay later option. When you check out on the Hubtel app, select Pay Small Small as your payment method. You pay a small upfront amount (or nothing, depending on the purchase band), then the rest is debited automatically from your Pay Small Small account. You receive the service or delivery immediately.

You can use Pay Small Small for food delivery and store orders, airtime top-ups, internet data bundles, ECG electricity prepaid, Ghana Water bills, DSTV, GoTV and StarTimes subscriptions, and motor insurance. The calculator on this page covers all supported services.

Interest rates vary by purchase band and service type. For example, orders between GHS 50 and GHS 150 carry an interest rate of 3.53% over 14 daily instalments with no upfront payment. Higher purchase amounts may require an upfront percentage (capped at 25%) and carry different rates. Use the calculator above to see the exact cost of credit for your amount.

It depends on the purchase amount. For lower bands (under GHS 200 on most services), there is no upfront payment at all. For higher amounts, an upfront percentage applies and increases with the purchase size, capped at 25%. The calculator shows your exact upfront amount before you commit.

Repayments are auto-debited from your MTN Mobile Money or Telecel Cash wallet once a day. You need to keep enough balance in your wallet each day to cover the instalment. You can also tap "Pay" or "Pay All" in the Hubtel app to settle your outstanding balance early at any time.

To use Pay Small Small, you need a verified Ghana Card and a credit limit (determined by your credit worthiness with myCreditScore Ghana credit bureau platform). First-time users complete a one-time activation that includes Ghana Card and photo verification through the National Identification Authority. You will not need to verify again after the first use.

Instead of paying your full bill upfront, select Pay Small Small at checkout on the Hubtel app and spread the cost into daily instalments. You are pre-approved for auto-debits on your mobile money wallet when you activate Pay Small Small. If your Pay Small Small balance is insufficient to pay your installment, your mobile money wallet balance is debited to pay. If your mobile money wallet is also insufficient, the missed amount carries over. Consistent missed payments may affect your credit rating and your eligibility for future Pay Small Small purchases.

There is no separate application process, no paperwork, and no long-term debt. You buy what you need, the cost is split into short daily instalments (typically 7 to 21 days), and the total cost of credit is shown upfront in the calculator before you commit.
