Airtel VAS Penalty Clause


TERMINOLOGY & ABBREVIATIONS

“UAT” means User Acceptance Test
“VAS” means Value Added Services
“NCA” means National Communication Authority

NO. ACTIVITY  PENALTY SLA
1. In the event that there is a promotion or seeding communication to customers without Airtel’s Approval 1st Instance:
Removal of all internal promotion for a period of one month
1 Month
2. In the event that there is deviation from Airtel’s communication policy And VAS rules & regulations. 2nd Instance:
1. Financial penalty of 50% of VAS revenue share for the period affected by the non-compliance.
2. Removal of all internal promotion for a period of three months.
3rd Instance:
Permanent disconnection from Airtel.
 

3 Months

3. In the event that, VAS vendors are promoting or seeding to customers on DND  1st Instance:
1. Removal of all internal promotion for a period of one month.
2.Financial penalty of 50% of VAS revenue share for one month
3. Any penalty imposed by regulatory body (NCA).
2nd Instance:
1. Permanent disconnection from Airtel.
2. Any penalty imposed by the Regulatory body (NCA).
 

1 Month

 

4. Where VAS vendors are billing the customer(s) without providing content due to malfunctioning of vendor’s application.  1st Instance
1. Suspension of service until issue is resolved and UAT passed.
2. Refund payment from vendor’s revenue.
3. Financial penalty equivalent to 10% of VAS revenue share for a one month period.
4. Any penalty imposed by the Regulatory body (NCA).
1 Month
5. Multiple billing of customers due to malfunctioning of Vendor’s Application. 2nd Instance:
1. Suspension of service until issue is resolved and UAT passed.
2. Refund payment form vendor’s revenue.
3. Any penalty imposed by the Regulatory body (NCA).
4. Financial penalty equivalent to 50% of VAS revenue share for a one month period.
3rd Instance:
Permanent disconnection from Airtel.
6. Subscription of customers without customer’s consent. 1st Instance:
1. Suspension of Vendor’s VAS services for one month.
2. 50% of one month VAS revenue share.
3. Any penalty imposed by regulatory body (NCA).
7. Missed call alerts be fraudulently sent to subscribers. 2nd Instance:
1.Permanent disconnection from Airtel.
2. Any penalty imposed by the Regulatory body (NCA).
8. Any other fraudulent activity not mentioned per this process shall receive the same penalty as stated in point 6 – 7.
